Snow Peak LiteMax Titanium Stove.

Hey All!

I would like to introduce you to the Snow Peak backpacking stove I am using. This is by far my favorite camp stove  I have. While small it is a little bad ass.

I like it because it is compact and can fit within my camp pot. It is also a beast and can boil about 2 cups of water in a little over 2 minutes. It is easy to light and cools quickly.

See the video below and let me know what you think!

Talk to you soon!

Fall 2016

Hey All,

A brief update for those of you who are following along. I moved to the DFW area and started a new job with S2 Security Corporation. This company is one that I have followed for many years and am very fortunate to finally be a part of. Currently, I am serving as the Sales Manager over the South Central US while living in Texas. The job does require a lot of time and travel. However, I am having a great time in all the markets I get to serve. Furthermore, I am able to earn and keep my points so I have plenty of hotel nights and amazon points to burn.

Coming soon!

I am been slowly upgrading my collection of gear for the outdoors. It is my goal to do more camping and outdoor activities this fall and winter. In doing so I will be sharing my gear and providing the how-to's for the adventures I get into.

Please keep in touch and help me by sharing and liking my blog post. Also, comment often. I get some comments on my YouTube channel and I really enjoy reading them. This same goes for my YouTube channel. I will be sharing updates through my social media outlets as well. If there is content you are interested in seeing please let me know.

Otherwise, take good care of yourself and lets talk soon!

New Bed / Idea courtesy of Modern Builds

Recently, I moved to Frisco and decided to replace the bed. I purchased a Leesa memory foam bed and set out to find a bed frame without spending a fortune... Well, without any luck I decided to build a new bed.

While spending a ton of time trying to find the style I wanted I stumbled across

Not only was the video the right amount of information it is also the perfect length to get what you need.  Furthermore, this guy is also from OK.

There are few changes I made due to having mistakenly cut the headboard too short. Therefore, I added a few pieces to trim to round it out.

DJI Phantom 4 Test Flight

Hey All!

So this weekend I received the new DJI Phantom 4. This thing is bad ass. Due to the weather / wind I haven't had a good chance to put it to work. Sunday morning I was able to take it on a test flight. There are so many features I cannot even begin to list them. This flight was just to get comfortable with the controls. I setup an extremely tight flight restriction for both distance from home and altitude. Hopefully, I will get to use this out at the lake or river soon.

Keep in mind there really isn't any content just a few loops around. I did test (successfully on purpose) the collision avoidance system. When you see me approach the light pole the is what I was doing. It stopped 5 feet shy of the pole.

More to come with a detail review!

Its been a while...

I apologize it has been a minute since I have done any updates. So I thought tonight I would catch you up on what has been going on in my life.

In December, I took a new job as a Sales Manager for S2 Security Corp. S2 is a manufacturer of Security software which controls Access Control systems and Video Surveillance. My new role has me being responsible for all of TX, OK, and NM. As a result, I sold my home in Belton MO and moved to Frisco TX. I didn't have a ton of time to relocate. However, I was fortunate to find a nice place that will get me through the first year. From there I might decide to mix it up and try somewhere else in TX or OK.

One perk to the new job is being closer to my family. It has been great hanging out with everyone and working on a few projects with my father. Recently, I made a new bed for my apartment. Furthermore, here in a few weeks we will begin building on to their home. Keep posted it is a hell of a project.

Also, I finally broke down and purchased a drone... Should be interesting. I can't wait to do the unboxing and get it airborne!

Have a great week!

Read Your Labels!

So tonight I went to the grocery store and wanted to share some proof that food marketing is total BULLSHIT. Basically, companies will manipulate the serving size in order to improve the way a nutritional label will read...

Here two types of brown sugar are being compared. The first is Best Choice which is your standard dark brown sugar. The second is the Truvia Brown Sugar. This is touted to be "healthier." Here is the bullshit part. The serving size for the Best Choice is 1 tsp @ 4g carbs. The serving size of the Truvia is 1/2 tsp @ 2g carbs. Therefore, it is not any less (Carbs) than the standard brand.

Read your labels!
